Hi, I'm Harrison

A math tutor from Enfield.

My philosophy as a tutor

My Tutoring

Mathematics is a discipline where a student must catch on the good sense and definite group of a rules. When these kinds of sets up are basically laid down, then a student only should practice and also get a command of the content by preforming the general examples. As the result of working hard and constructing upon a solid basis, a better result of A or B will be expected with no any hesitation.

Building confidence

When a child is really having a hard time, I find the right "handle" to operate to let the student to get the subject. Because of my practice from an extensive lifework where I held a teaching responsibility, although beyond education, I am able to testify to the effect of numeracy, along with of the necessity to develop a student's self-assurance. I strongly think the art to becoming proficient at or good in maths is in the teacher; it is definitely not the student's mistake if the teaching is miserable and/or doesn't set up the brain and help them "understand", enjoy it and also become more confident at it.

The key to success

I consider that a scholar will not learn whenever they are not inspired and engaged, and a specific strong prime mover for students is the partnership between the tutor and the student. A supportive treatment, and an environment where the relations between learner and teacher can advance and enhance fair dialogue, so the scholar is not afraid to address fields of weakness and misunderstanding, will be provided. I strive to set up an encouraging and respective relationship with each student I explain, so that they too can appreciate the unique ideas into the universe that science and maths deliver me.
I am able to teach children at any grade of maths. I feel that my excellent advantage is to meet the individual student at the level they currently are, and stimulate them further. I firmly believe that nothing at all is more crucial for great results that the scholar's self-confidence. Doing this is my aim - to help children get faith in themselves with maths and walk through. Some details cheer me more compared to when a scholar experiences it and their self-confidence flourishes.
